I don't think it's entirely fair that all my friends and family get to see the lovely flowers that I order from you, and I get to see bupkus. Not even a lousy picture. Sheesh, you'd think someone would take the hint and at least send me something. I hear from them about how wonderful and lovely my gifts are by calling me and sending me e-mails, but do they take a picture, or better yet, send me flowers back? I would like to thank you for the flowers that you send to my brother. He works in a big building in Santiago that has usually a lot of delivering mistakes. I was very worried about the flowers that I sent to him. But the person on the phone assured me it would be OK. I was still worried. Until I got the message that the flowers were delivered to the right place. My brother was so surprised, he could not stop laughing at me for sending him flowers. He said no one has ever given him something so beautiful. I have been in the US for a long time. This was like extending a hand to him from the other part of the world. Too many times, I've found myself sitting at home on the computer instead of outside enjoying the landscape and the people. I've found that if I think about the people in my life back in the US that I want to keep in my life, I have more ability to meet new people and experience new things. That's the whole reason why I took this job, was to experience a different culture. I want to let you know that you help me doing that, even if that's a selfish reason for sending flowers, it helps me think of the people that I want to keep in my life for when I go back, whenever that might be.
