I have this feeling that I’m helping my mother build an FTD greenhouse. I sent her a plant last year and it’s still alive. That in itself is a miracle. Now, for the first time in my life, she’s actually requested what kind of present she wants for her birthday. She wants another plant. A DIFFERENT plant from last year. There are very few non-Saudis left in this city, but there are some. But still, it's amazing that I can send actual florist type flowers to my husband back home.
