Who invented Valentine's Day? He must have been some kind of genius. It's right in the middle of winter when we're all busy trying to keep the winter chill out of the house. It makes you stop and think about all of the people you love and who love you. I am just floored sometimes at the reaction I get from my wife when I give her flowers, especially on Valentine's Day. I think it's because it's one day where we can forget about things like de-icing the driveway and block heaters and shoveling the sidewalk. Is there some kind of large population of patient souls where you get your customer service people from? Do they also babysit for a trio of tiny terrors (ages: 3, 6, & 8)? I must have been on the phone with this person (I forget her name, sorry!) for at least a half an hour trying to order a simple flower arrangement and I have to chase around my terrors (I mean: lovely children) at the same time.
