My fiancee and his friends, for some odd reason, decided to take a cross-country trip to California and back. Just to remind him why he's coming back, I decided to send flowers to him at each of their stops along the way. I sent a total of eight bouquets of yellow flowers, four over and four back. I know it completely embarrassed him in front of his friends, but I figured if he was able to withstand them for that amount of time in that situation, he was the right guy. He was the right guy. I'd like to think that I was making my daughter happy when I sent flowers to her on her first day at college, but I really suspected that she was embarrassed by her mother in front of her dorm-mates. It was a little of both, I guess. She called to say that she really enjoyed them, but she asked if it was OK that she told everyone they were from her boyfriend. *sigh* There's only so much a mother can do. I love your fruit basket gifts! I send them to everyone everywhere. Trust me, I've used those so-called fruit specialists and the quality is so uneven. I had to take more than a few calls from people who asked me to send them again because the fruit was actually rotten. Just a few months ago I had a friend who told me that the oranges she got were growing a fungus. But now that I use you people for sending my precious fruit gifts, I've had no such problems. I don’t know if you know how hard it is to find a consistently good florist. Back in the 1980s, there was a flower delivery service associated with a department store that has since been swallowed up by a larger company. I think that flower delivery company was the only one that could match yours in terms of quality, price, and promptness. Of course, they’re gone now, but you’re still here.
