My business, at bottom, is about persuasion, and if my persuasive powers are undermined by a poorly delivered PR gift, then I look bad, which makes you look bad. My great-grandmother’s funeral was much more sober than any other funeral I’ve been to (to many of them), and I couldn’t figure out why. Finally, it dawned on me, the flowers were wholly inappropriate for the setting. They were the whole color, the wrong style, and too ostentatious for the scene. I found out that the person in our family who normally orders the flowers (from you) had asked someone else to do it this time, and he ordered from someone else. The first time I ever received roses, I was still in high school. It was exciting and frightening all at the same time to get them from a boy.
