I knew I could trust you! I had the misfortune to be able to order a funeral arrangement from you. I’d been giving out your flower bouquets to everyone I could think of and had been totally satisfied with the deliveries. I didn’t know you guys did specialty funeral stuff, though. My grandmother had a long and wonderful life, and her funeral was more like a wake and a going away party. Is it terrible that I said that? I wish someone had told me about you earlier. I don’t like talking about this, but the flowers at my grandmother’s funeral last year were unnecessarily gaudy. She didn’t like a big show, and I always thought she would have disapproved of them. Unfortunately, my mother died this year. I had used you before for birthdays, so I thought it couldn’t be worse than what my grandmother had. I feel strange saying this, but I think both of them would have really loved the flowers and arrangements that your people put together and delivered to the chapel for the service. I've always been ambivalent about Valentine's Day, mostly because nothing ever happened. It's only recently that I've been in a serious relationship that has lasted through Valentine's Day, so maybe that has something to do with it. In any event, this last Valentine's, I was actually in a relationship, so I wondered what would happen. Societal attitudes, I guess. I got her some candy, and she got me some flowers. But not just any flowers. They were these eye-popping spring flowers with full fragrance and very pretty. Of course, they were your flowers, which is why I'm writing to you.
