He died after a long, lingering illness, so it wasn’t a shock, but we wanted to think of it as an end to his suffering. I must have been on the phone with this person (I forget her name, sorry!) for at least a half an hour trying to order a simple flower arrangement and I have to chase around my terrors (I mean: lovely children) at the same time.
