On the occasion of her first apartment by herself, her mother and I sent her a couple of arrangements of you more colorful flowers & baskets. My daughter was nearly in tears as she thanked us for what was for her an unexpected gift. We have had problems in our family, and it was nice for once to see that someone is being appreciated and someone else is doing the appreciating. I don’t know who else to tell, so I’ll tell you. Our son was killed in Iraq this past year. The conflicting emotions I feel about this are unbearable. We were so distraught that we left most of the arrangements to my brother. He had the good sense to order the flower stands from you. which I never would have thought made a difference. My brother has never been one to display heartfelt emotion, but I felt it when those flowers were next to my son’s civilian coffin at the funeral home.
