I send thank you bouquets when I want to say thank you to people that I love. It is a good way to show them that you care about them. I am giving this piece of advice to everyone who needs to say thank you to someone. Say it by sending them flowers because the kind of thank you that comes with flowers is much stronger than any other kind of thank you.(Maxence G., Paris )

I got half a mind to buy stock in your company, because I've had nothing but good experiences with it. It's been, what, about eight months and twenty orders, and everything's gone perfectly from me browsing to the recipient's thank you back to me. I have picky clients by the nature of my business, so I know that you're doing something right. A big thank you from me so you can know you're doing OK in my book.(Andy W., El Paso TX )

As a society, we tend to send flowers out of feelings of guilt for not being in a place we would normally be. Before the advent of automobiles and airplanes, we wouldn't stray too far from home (except in a few cases), and so we didn't have a need for sending gifts through the mail, or the Internet, or using FTD, or some other wire service. But we are products of our times, and because even nuclear families are so far flung, and because husbands and wives often live and work on different continents from one another, we have this need to send gifts to one anther in lieu of being there. What we're acknowledging is that we usually do what we can to make compromises between how we would like to live and how we would like to be close to one another. It's apparently socially acceptable to be apart like this as long as we can send each other things that remind us of this emotional connection even though there's no physical connection. ROCK ON, BROTHER!!!(Rey V., Nagoya )

Just for the record, my father really likes your plants that I've been sending him. The old codger will never admit it, but he appreciates the way they brighten up his dark, dank three-room cabin in the mountains. He gives me some song and dance about them being "good for the air quality" but I know he just likes them for how they look (kind of like he chose his last two wives... ahem...) Thanks for a great gift a daughter could give a father.(Caroline E., Lafayette CO )

I have a story I want to tell you. I met my husband when we were both on separate trips through Italy. We had a whirlwind romance for about two weeks, and it was the best time in my life. This was thirty years ago. I hadn’t seen him in all that time. Well, about a month ago, I get a gift of flowers from him. Your flowers. And I realized that day was the anniversary of when we met all those years ago. He had been trying to find me all this time. We were both divorced, and we had another whirlwind romance. Long story short we’re married now. Thanks for being a small part of this long story of romance.(Holly I., Poughkeepsie NY )

The way my family celebrates Christmas, you would think it was Festivus. My dad always tries to challenge someone to wrestle and we have a tinsel lined pole in the back yard that I used to practice tetherball on. I don't know if my parents have developed a sense of humor or we're all really warped. I'm glad I was able to bring some semblance of normalcy into Christmas, though, with the flowers that I sent ahead of time. They made the day seem warmer somehow and somewhat less bizarre.(Steven J. , Fresno CA )
