My fiancee and his friends, for some odd reason, decided to take a cross-country trip to California and back. Flowers are so much more tactile and have more substance than cards or electronic messages, like they are stand-ins for you. It's something they can move around and focus on in order to get the kind of feeling that I hope I would provide were I there.
