Area Development Agreements allow for explosive growth opportunities in territories that have yet to be developed. These agreements allow for strong local support as wells tremendous investment opportunities to those who stake out a territory and then develop the area. This concept allow for a sharing of the royalty stream by the Franchisor with the Area developer. Usually an Area developer will also operate an Individual franchise unit. Area development agreements are developed on an individual basis.
Business Consulting Services are provided when a community of interest exists however the principals do not wish to be part of an ongoing franchise system. Many of the same start-up services are provided these relationships are individually defined.
Individual Franchise Units of the WESLEY BERRY FLOWERS Franchise system have many competitive advantages two of which are freshness and price. This is accomplished through direct purchasing of fresh cut flowers from growers rather then wholesalers. The inventory includes fresh cut flowers, green plants, greeting cards, balloons, silk flowers, stuffed animals and other novelty items. Fresh floral sales make up the bulk of the business.
Since 1946 WESLEY BERRY FLOWERS has been a major player in the retail floral industry. The original shop was founded in Detroit, Michigan. This franchise is designed to be a bricks and mortar neighborhood business. The average store size is about 1,200 to 1,800 square feet. Most sites are located in shopping centers that include a major supermarket or in a local shopping center. Orders are taken in person, by phone, and on the Internet. WBF also provides for the delivery of floral products across the street or across the nation.
The investment including working capital ranges from $105,000 to $ 250,000.
$15,000 Targeted Territory Incentives
Several targeted territories have been selected to receive development incentives of $15,000. These incentives are for a limited period of time and are intended for key areas essential to system development planning.
