My work doesn't allow for a whole lot of a social life, or any other type of life to speak of, but I occasionally do get to send flowers back to Chicago. I've found that if I think about the people in my life back in the US that I want to keep in my life, I have more ability to meet new people and experience new things. The “broken heart” flower stand arrangement was just perfect for my brother’s funeral. He died after a long, lingering illness, so it wasn’t a shock, but we wanted to think of it as an end to his suffering.
