The “broken heart” flower stand arrangement was just perfect for my brother’s funeral. He died after a long, lingering illness, so it wasn’t a shock, but we wanted to think of it as an end to his suffering. I think it's because it's one day where we can forget about things like de-icing the driveway and block heaters and shoveling the sidewalk.
