Too many times, I've found myself sitting at home on the computer instead of outside enjoying the landscape and the people. I've found that if I think about the people in my life back in the US that I want to keep in my life, I have more ability to meet new people and experience new things. I think you've tapped into something here, about how people react to flowers and in what context they receive them probably affects how they are received.
