This is a strange story, I know, but I had to get flowers not just to an address, but to a specific location within that address. Worst of all, it wasn't marked anywhere. My cousin is a stand-up comedian, and the flowers for him were for his first steady gig in L.A. They had to be right off-stage behind the curtain so as he came off, the flowers would be presented to him in his hands. My God, I can't believe they were there at just the right time. I was nervous as a cockroach at a tap-dance contest, but everything worked out OK. I know there is a problem with sending produce from country to country, but from what I understand of FTD and other wire services, you actually do all of your business within the country of delivery. I think this is a major benefit of delivery services like yours, and I think this is a very good reason to send gifts this way. Too many times, I've found myself sitting at home on the computer instead of outside enjoying the landscape and the people. I've found that if I think about the people in my life back in the US that I want to keep in my life, I have more ability to meet new people and experience new things. The funeral for my uncle Saul was done during a week after the burial. I didn’t know this at the time, when I ordered the flowers. I found out too late, and I tried to think of every excuse I could to get those flower arrangements out of there at some point because I knew they would be, shall we say, not quite so fresh. But much to my amazement, they lasted the entire week. Even after the end of the week, my aunt took one of the white roses and put it in a vase before they removed the funeral arrangements.
