My confession is this: you weren't my first choice for sending flowers, but you were recommended by my assistant, who I guess had had a good experience. I wouldn't have even told you about this, but my initial hesitation was based on the my experience with other Internet delivery companies. I'm glad I was wrong about you, and I'm glad my assistant was right. I don't know if your partnership with FTD was responsible for that (I don't think that really has much to do with it). I admit I have a problem about this. I am out of control. Flowers sent to people as get well presents who have nothing but a common cold. In almost all cases, the flowers last much longer than the illness. But it's so easy and it makes everyone feel so much better, even when they're feeling miserable. This year's flu season wasn't quite as bad as last year, but still many people got flowers from me just because they weren't feeling well. The “broken heart” flower stand arrangement was just perfect for my brother’s funeral. He died after a long, lingering illness, so it wasn’t a shock, but we wanted to think of it as an end to his suffering. I must have been on the phone with this person (I forget her name, sorry!) for at least a half an hour trying to order a simple flower arrangement and I have to chase around my terrors (I mean: lovely children) at the same time.
