Valentine's Day has special significance in our house because it was the day that we closed escrow six years ago. It was a very trying time, trying to sell a house and buy a house at the same time. My mother brought us a unique combination of roses and lilies that I hadn't remembered seeing before. It was so special for us and for her. She's no longer with us, but my husband now has taken over sending flowers to me from work: roses and lilies in the same flower arrangement. Is there some kind of large population of patient souls where you get your customer service people from? Do they also babysit for a trio of tiny terrors (ages: 3, 6, & 8)? I must have been on the phone with this person (I forget her name, sorry!) for at least a half an hour trying to order a simple flower arrangement and I have to chase around my terrors (I mean: lovely children) at the same time. About a week ago for our anniversary, I gave my wife diamond earrings, a nice dinner out and a basket of your roses. Can you believe that she hasn’t stopped talking about the flowers? I got her diamond earrings for crying out loud! I have to hand it to you guys, you really did a good job. I like that you can add extras to the arrangements you send for a reasonable charge. I sent the Butterfly Basket and added a balloon onto it for my best friend's birthday. They both have the same visual theme of the red crossing through the white field, but the two of them together at the funeral said just the right thing without having to use any words.
