Thank you for helping this family make the transition to having a Jewish daughter. I recently started my conversion to Judaism after marrying into the faith. My family has not exactly been running up to congratulate me on my choice. They've been largely non-religious, but they celebrate Christmas like every other American family. I was surprised to see that my mother decked out the whole house for a hanukkah celebration, because I didn't know they would be going all out for me. It was very gratifying that though they couldn't say that they supported my choice, they were showing support anyway. I like that you can add extras to the arrangements you send for a reasonable charge. I sent the Butterfly Basket and added a balloon onto it for my best friend's birthday. My father hates everything. Since my mother died ten years ago, he's been a terrible grump. I think it was hard on him more than anyone else. My best day this year was seeing the look on my five-year-old's face when she saw the giant package of flowers that my father sent to her on her first day of kindergarten. They arrived early, to my surprise, so that Linden could see them before she went. It was a special start to a special day, and she wanted to bring them to let the rest of the class enjoy them. It was the first gift to arrive and it was waiting for me in the room when we all got back. I am writing this on a palm computer in the hospital. I wanted to indicate my appreciation to you, and I am also feigning being busy with something while my mother-in-law is trying to talk to me about the correct raising of my child. I've been dreading this moment, but she's the one who sent the orchid, so I guess I'll eventually have to sit through this lecture. Thank you for being a purveyor of beautiful things.
