Mother's Day is one of those days where it seems I have too many mothers. I have to send something to my step-mother, my grandmother, my step-grandmother, my grandmother on my father's side, my sister (who is a new mom), my mother (of course), and my god-mother. Did I leave anyone out? Sheesh. Anyway, thank you for making Mother's Day a little easier to deal with. My status as a second daughter in my family means that I am usually the left out one. I’m forced into the kitchen with my mother and aunties even though I have no idea how to cook. Although I have to say that my gift of flowers and balloons to the mistress of the house didn’t get me out of kitchen duty, it did get me some extra time with the men in the family as they were impressed I was able to spend so much on a deceptively gorgeous gift.
