I have a lot of people around me, but it can be kind of lonely as the only American working in this office. I love my job, but I sometimes miss following sports and talking to American girls. Is there some kind of large population of patient souls where you get your customer service people from? Do they also babysit for a trio of tiny terrors (ages: 3, 6, & 8)? I must have been on the phone with this person (I forget her name, sorry!) for at least a half an hour trying to order a simple flower arrangement and I have to chase around my terrors (I mean: lovely children) at the same time. Our recent one-off musical performance of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers required the most astonishing number of flowers to be arranged on stage. Your flower delivery was early enough to give us plenty of time for dress rehearsal and iron out the various dance steps that would have been affected by the new flowers. I would never have thought to send flowers to my brother to congratulate him on getting a new job. Before I sent him flowers, I wouldn't have suspected that he liked getting them. Maybe he wouldn't have suspected that either. But that was his day when he first went to work. He had the flowers right in front of him as he described the view from his office window.
