Flowers are so much more tactile and have more substance than cards or electronic messages, like they are stand-ins for you. The "Burst of Joy" bouquet of flowers is really something. My aunt Leslie just about started laughing when she saw it because it's so big and bold and colorful. She fawned over it, even though we've never been close.
