My mother and I thank you for the flowers. I sent them to her for her birthday to be delivered to her house, but there was an accident, and now she's in the hospital. I appreciate that I was able to change the address before they got sent, because she hasn't been back at her house for a while now. My father died after a long bout with cancer. I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to make any sort of arrangements, so my husband did most of them. Looking back, I could see that he was upset also, and he’s not exactly the arbiter of taste that he thinks he is when he’s in the right frame of mind.
