I visited my father in the hospital this morning and was stunned to see that my flowers had arrived before I had. I know I had asked them to be delivered in the early morning, but really! He was already enjoying them, saying they reminded him of my mother and when I was a baby. We both had a good cry. Is there some kind of large population of patient souls where you get your customer service people from? Do they also babysit for a trio of tiny terrors (ages: 3, 6, & 8)? I must have been on the phone with this person (I forget her name, sorry!) for at least a half an hour trying to order a simple flower arrangement and I have to chase around my terrors (I mean: lovely children) at the same time. My cousin in New York keeps telling me to go up there, but what? Am I going to leave this place where I call paradise? I can afford a much better lifestyle than even my New York cousin. So I send flowers to him for fun with notes like "I am now on the beach and doing work at the same time." I have never been to New York, but I don't think you can do that.
