I've always been ambivalent about Valentine's Day, mostly because nothing ever happened. It's only recently that I've been in a serious relationship that has lasted through Valentine's Day, so maybe that has something to do with it. In any event, this last Valentine's, I was actually in a relationship, so I wondered what would happen. Societal attitudes, I guess. I got her some candy, and she got me some flowers. But not just any flowers. They were these eye-popping spring flowers with full fragrance and very pretty. Of course, they were your flowers, which is why I'm writing to you. I have ordered flowers from online before, but I think I like yours the best. The vase is the clincher for me. The roses were great like I expected, but the vase was very nice and I can use it again for other things. My sister went into labor at 3:00 on Tuesday. I got the news and ordered flowers to be sent to her recovery room. Imagine my surprise when the labor lasted longer than the delivery time for the flowers. The whole wedding party just about broke down in tears when the bride walked in with her swanlike bouquet of long-stemmed white roses. I hope that doesn't sound flip. I always thought a bouquet in a wedding was gardening flowers - daisies, maybe wild roses, dahlias, you know, like that. But all roses? I never would have ordered them if it was up to me, but she really wanted them. I wouldn't have though of it, but they were really spectacular.
