I've always been ambivalent about Valentine's Day, mostly because nothing ever happened. It's only recently that I've been in a serious relationship that has lasted through Valentine's Day, so maybe that has something to do with it. In any event, this last Valentine's, I was actually in a relationship, so I wondered what would happen. Societal attitudes, I guess. I got her some candy, and she got me some flowers. But not just any flowers. They were these eye-popping spring flowers with full fragrance and very pretty. Of course, they were your flowers, which is why I'm writing to you. I know there is a problem with sending produce from country to country, but from what I understand of FTD and other wire services, you actually do all of your business within the country of delivery. I think this is a major benefit of delivery services like yours, and I think this is a very good reason to send gifts this way. I had screwed up every anniversary gift since we were married. Last year, I got my wife what she asked for... in the wrong size. That was a disaster. The “broken heart” flower stand arrangement was just perfect for my brother’s funeral. He died after a long, lingering illness, so it wasn’t a shock, but we wanted to think of it as an end to his suffering.
