I don't get around as much as I used to. Let me explain. I am now in a wheelchair because of a degenerative disease. I find that I am relying more and more on Internet services to help me do day-to-day things. I have used a good number of online flower delivery sites, but yours is clearly the best. You have an advantage in the layout and usability of your website and also of the selection you have for people to choose from. I also noticed that you tend to be a bit faster than other places. There's a new mother and baby that would like to thank you for the lovely and elegant dendrobium orchid delivered shortly before the baby was delivered. It was the first gift to arrive and it was waiting for me in the room when we all got back. I am writing this on a palm computer in the hospital. I wanted to indicate my appreciation to you, and I am also feigning being busy with something while my mother-in-law is trying to talk to me about the correct raising of my child. As a society, we tend to send flowers out of feelings of guilt for not being in a place we would normally be. Before the advent of automobiles and airplanes, we wouldn't stray too far from home (except in a few cases), and so we didn't have a need for sending gifts through the mail, or the Internet, or using FTD, or some other wire service. But we are products of our times, and because even nuclear families are so far flung, and because husbands and wives often live and work on different continents from one another, we have this need to send gifts to one anther in lieu of being there. What we're acknowledging is that we usually do what we can to make compromises between how we would like to live and how we would like to be close to one another. It's apparently socially acceptable to be apart like this as long as we can send each other things that remind us of this emotional connection even though there's no physical connection. My cousin in New York keeps telling me to go up there, but what? Am I going to leave this place where I call paradise? I can afford a much better lifestyle than even my New York cousin.
