Valentine's Day is one of those days where if you have someone to send flowers to, you're happy, but if you don't then you aren't. This year I decided to send out a number of Valentine's flowers to some female acquaintances that I thought I might like to get to know better. As I am writing this, I don't know if any of these will pan out, but I'm glad there was a resource such as you that gave me the opportunity to try something like this. Too many times, I've found myself sitting at home on the computer instead of outside enjoying the landscape and the people. I've found that if I think about the people in my life back in the US that I want to keep in my life, I have more ability to meet new people and experience new things. That's the whole reason why I took this job, was to experience a different culture. I want to let you know that you help me doing that, even if that's a selfish reason for sending flowers, it helps me think of the people that I want to keep in my life for when I go back, whenever that might be. The "Burst of Joy" bouquet of flowers is really something. My aunt Leslie just about started laughing when she saw it because it's so big and bold and colorful. She fawned over it, even though we've never been close. I think she was impressed by the flowers more than the thought of it because at first she didn't recognize the name of the person who gave them to her (mine). I don’t know if you know how hard it is to find a consistently good florist. Back in the 1980s, there was a flower delivery service associated with a department store that has since been swallowed up by a larger company. I think that flower delivery company was the only one that could match yours in terms of quality, price, and promptness. Of course, they’re gone now, but you’re still here. I found you among a good number of other flower ordering places. I really had no way to decide because there's so many of them. I'm a little embarrassed to say that I picked one at random. (Not exactly true, I picked one that used FTD at random). Yours happened to be the one I picked. I was so impressed with the delivery and the flowers that I tried another site picked out at random. Boy was I disappointed. I guess I just got lucky the first time. I don't know what guiding force caused me to choose you that first time, but I'm glad it happened, because now I have a great resource for sending flowers to people.
