Flowers are so much more tactile and have more substance than cards or electronic messages, like they are stand-ins for you. The flowers I sent to my son and daughter-in-law for a congratulations on purchasing a new house actually got there. I mistakenly sent them to the new house address without thinking about escrow and even move-in time.
