I just sent some Valentine's Day roses to someone I've been admiring from afar for a while now. As I am writing this they are on route to him, and I don't know how he's going to react. I don't know if it's such a good idea that you have same day delivery, because it doesn't give me a chance to think everything through before things start to happen. I'm getting ahead of myself, I know, but I can't help it. I have all of this nervous energy, wondering what the reaction will be. The first time I ever received roses, I was still in high school. It was exciting and frightening all at the same time to get them from a boy. You know, I still get that same little twinge when my husband brings or sends me flowers. Don't take this the wrong way, but where he gets them from doesn't matter much to me. I must have been on the phone with this person (I forget her name, sorry!) for at least a half an hour trying to order a simple flower arrangement and I have to chase around my terrors (I mean: lovely children) at the same time. I don't believe what just happened. I sent flowers to my sister, who was on a business trip across the country. She e-mailed me that she won a big account, so I sent her a congratulations present. Little did I know she checked out early and was already back home! I have never in my life been contacted by a delivery company to tell me that the person I sent a gift to had checked out and would I like to send it to where they are now!
