My fiancee and his friends, for some odd reason, decided to take a cross-country trip to California and back. Just to remind him why he's coming back, I decided to send flowers to him at each of their stops along the way. I sent a total of eight bouquets of yellow flowers, four over and four back. I know it completely embarrassed him in front of his friends, but I figured if he was able to withstand them for that amount of time in that situation, he was the right guy. He was the right guy. I visited my father in the hospital this morning and was stunned to see that my flowers had arrived before I had. I know I had asked them to be delivered in the early morning, but really! He was already enjoying them, saying they reminded him of my mother and when I was a baby. We both had a good cry. It would be wonderful if we all got the wedding of our dreams, but alas, where I wanted to married at the botanical gardens, my father's budget dictated that we get married at the Elks Lodge. I'm not complaining, really. In fact, it worked out perfectly and everything went off without a hitch -- so I've been told. I understand you folks did the flowers and I wanted to tell you how well they all went over. I've been to weddings, and the flowers all seem to be in the background because they're so expected. Well, your flowers were just lovely enough to be a part of the whole scene and also understated enough not to overwhelm everyone.
