I felt kind of weird at first ordering flower displays for a funeral over the Internet. It's interesting what kind of preconceptions we have about such things. I was always under the impression that it would somehow "mean more" if I were to do that in person at a flower shop. Well, I went to a number of flower shops before going online to order from you, and it didn't feel right getting the hard-sell from them. That might be unfair because they're in business to sell flowers, but still, that's how I felt. I wasn't all that close with my Uncle Tommy, but it's sad when anyone dies, so I can only imagine how someone must feel talking to salespeople who are constantly trying to "sell them up" to more and more expensive pieces. I don't mean to sound like I dislike salespeople. But it's just easier in the long run to come to these decisions on your own. It would be wonderful if we all got the wedding of our dreams, but alas, where I wanted to married at the botanical gardens, my father's budget dictated that we get married at the Elks Lodge. I'm not complaining, really. In fact, it worked out perfectly and everything went off without a hitch -- so I've been told. I understand you folks did the flowers and I wanted to tell you how well they all went over. I've been to weddings, and the flowers all seem to be in the background because they're so expected. Well, your flowers were just lovely enough to be a part of the whole scene and also understated enough not to overwhelm everyone. I just sent some Valentine's Day roses to someone I've been admiring from afar for a while now. As I am writing this they are on route to him, and I don't know how he's going to react. I don't know if it's such a good idea that you have same day delivery, because it doesn't give me a chance to think everything through before things start to happen. I'm getting ahead of myself, I know, but I can't help it. I have all of this nervous energy, wondering what the reaction will be. It's absolutely lovely that a Brit who lives in Brazil can send flowers to Australia from an American company. This is a brave new world we live in, and I, for one, absolutely love this part of it. Friends of mine sometimes tell me they feel overwhelmed by all of the options and information they have available to them. But I find that there are distinct benefits to living at this time in history, like FTD for example.
